CLAIRE ASHMORE - AERIALIST - ACROBAT
From the age of 5 to 15 years, Claire trained as a top level artistic gymnast where her strongest events were the beam and floor. She then spent a year in sports acrobatics as a flier in women’s pairs and a solo tumbler. She reached regional level at both disciplines.
Upon ending her career, Claire turned to music. She plays the flute to a high level and the harp and gained a BA (hons) Music degree.
While at University Claire became a gymnastics coach, working with children and adults of all ages and abilities and it was this that led Claire to begin training gymnastics again and ultimately to audition for the main show in the Millennium Dome. Claire was successful, spent 6 months learning circus skills at The Circus Space and then performer as an acrobat and aerialist in the Dome throughout 2000. Claire has been performing acrobatics and aerial ever since.

Con Brio
Created to showcase Claire’s incredible acrobatic ability, Con Brio is an upbeat fusion of explosive acrobatics, stunning hand balances and beautiful flexibility guaranteed to take your breath away.
From somersaulting effortlessly through the air to balancing on one hand or contorting her feet to her head Con Brio has it all.

Requirements smooth clean floor surface, preferably 5 m by 5m or over, though this act can be adapted to suit smaller spaces.

Helix (Solo Silks)
In this act Claire rises from the ground winding within and around the silks, looping them around her body to create beautiful contortions, spectacular drops and effortless climbs. Performed with an exceptional fluidity of movement and energy, Helix is an engaging and inspiring piece.
