Steeldrum Soloist Performer
Gary Trotman performs as a steeldrum soloist at a host of venues up and down the country and
even abroad. Gary is one of the leading soloist performers and one of
the few pannists in the UK performing all year round. His musical
repertoire is vast covering a multitude of styles. What other
instrument can perform soca - salsa, jazz - soul or smooth cool modern
jazz to rock.
Due to his unique playing style and song selections, Gary is able to perform musical
selections ranging from gentle background music to high energy dancing.
His latest projects include concept albums of fusion music; Acoustic Melody, Jazzing the Night &
Day, PanBrassOrama & Caribbean Moods, and he plays a selection of
Soca, Calypso, Salsa, Reggae, Latin Rhythms, Bolero, Cha Cha Cha, MOR, Rock, Pop, Trad
Jazz, Modern Jazz.....

Limbo - Great form of entertainment, both as a visual effect and also for audience
participation.
Gary can also provide music for weddings · Your choice of entertainment could be from a solo artist
at the ceremony playing a beautifully melodic steeldrum to a full-blown 12 piece Caribbean function Soca band
at the reception venue.
With Gary Trotman as your soloist, you can expect to listen to the sounds of gentle
cool Jazz, Blues, Latin American and Caribbean standards, blending into the
background.
During the ceremony - civil or religious, you may wish to include a steeldrum soloist
performing the wedding march or your choice of hymn.
Upon your arrival at the reception venue you may like to have the wonderful melodic
sounds of the steeldrums, performing as you and your guests arrive, and throughout
the taking of photographs (weather permitting!!).
